Laura Fickel, OT/CHT

Laura is an Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist. She graduated as an Occupational Therapist in 1989. She has been treating upper extremity injuries as her specialty for over 12 years. Laura has been with DeRosa Physical Therapy as a Certified Hand Therapist for over 7 years, with a focus on all orthopaedic upper extremity injuries both pre- and post-surgical. Her special interest and talents are in splinting of the upper extremity.

"I am proud to be in a position of assisting others in healing, returning to full function and to the activities that are most important to that individual. My belief is that next to the brain, the hand is man's greatest asset."

Laura's personal interests include volunteering in the community at the Flagstaff Family Food Center and Second Chance Animal Shelter, participating in yoga, working out, gardening and spending time with her dog.

  • Certified in the Gratson Technique - Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). The Gratson Technique enables clinicians to effectively address scar tissue and fascial restrictions and maintain optimal range of motion in their patients through comprehensive training and education.
